The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) released a new Individualized Education Program (IEP) form in Fall 2024, which is being implemented in all school districts.  More information about the new statewide IEP form, please visit the state webpage at: https://www.doe.mass.edu/sped/improveiep/ ​

What is SEPAC?

The Marshfield SEPAC is an organization of parents, working in partnership with teachers and administrators, to promote innovative
educational environments where children with disabilities have equal access to educational opportunities and all children are encouraged to reach their full potential.

What does the SEPAC do?

  • Works with the Director of Special Education and Pupil Personnel Services to establish procedures related to planning, development, and evaluation of the special education programs within the district. 
  • Promotes a network of families of children with special needs, and provides a forum to share information. 
  • Provides annual training for parents and guardians on Special Education laws and regulations as well as the development of educational plans. 
  • Promotes communication and programs within the community to encourage greater understanding, acceptance, compassion, and inclusion of children with learning differences. 
  • Provides regular forums for parents and school personnel to share information and discuss pertinent issues. 
  • Meets with school staff to receive current information about our school services and to present our staff with parent input and recognition.
